The cancer that occurs in the bladder of an individual is called as bladder cancer. The bladder is a hollow balloon like structure that stores and helps in eliminating the urine. The bladder is an organ which is located in the lower abdomen. Bladder cancer is a disease that occurs when the infectious cells are formed on the tissue of the bladder which keeps on multiplying without control.

In recent times, it is observed that bladder cancer is becoming one of the common diseases among people. Because of the light, the drug will become active resulting into killing the cells of the cancer. The only drawback of photodynamic therapy is that, it damages the healthy tissues."

Causes of Bladder cancer:

The bladder cancer causes are the factors because of which an individual is likely to develop the disease of bladder cancer. Some of them are mentioned below.

  • Cigarette smoking: Cigarettes contain a harmful substance called as nicotine as well as tobacco. It one of the most common reason for the occurrence of bladder cancer.

  • Bladder infection: An infection in the bladder can result into bladder cancer if it is not cured at the right time.

  • Chemotherapy: While treating with chemotherapy, the patient is required certain medicines. The chemotherapy medicines increase the risk of the patient getting infected with bladder cancer.

  • Chemical exposure: There are certain chemicals, which if exposed to can cause various diseases. Bladder cancer can be caused because of the exposure to toxic substances. People with occupation as leather workers, truck drivers etc. have the risk of getting infected with bladder cancer.

Symptoms of bladder cancer:

Bladder cancer symptoms are the factors which show the signs that the Bladder cancer might have occurred in an individual's body. Some of the bladder cancer symptoms are:

  • Frequent urination
  • Blood in the urine
  • Incontinence of urination
  • Urgency of urination
  • Pain in the abdomen

Prevention of Bladder cancer:

Preventing bladder cancer means controlling the risk factors that can result into the development of cancer in the bladder.

Avoiding the risk factors is necessary in order to stay away from bladder cancer. But that doesn't mean a person will never be infected by bladder cancer. It only reduces the possibilities. Certain preventions of bladder cancer are:

  • Not consuming tobacco
  • Drinking enough water
  • Avoiding infections
